Role overview
As a Sr. Product Designer at CIQ, you will own the end-to-end design of complex enterprise products used by engineers, operators, and administrators at some of the most technically demanding organizations in the world. You will work directly with product and engineering to define, design, test, and ship experiences that make powerful infrastructure more accessible without sacrificing depth or precision. This is an individual contributor role with real ownership where you will make design decisions that shape how the products work and feel, build systems that scale, and use research and data to validate what you build. CIQ has embraced AI fully, and you will be encouraged to use AI tools as a core part of your design and prototyping workflow, as well as contribute to and mature workflows and internal design processes.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design of complex enterprise products
- Work directly with product and engineering to define, design, test, and ship experiences
- Make design decisions that shape how our products work and feel
- Build systems that scale
- Use research and data to validate what you build
- Use AI tools as a core part of design and prototyping workflow
- Contribute to and mature workflows and internal design processes
- Own design from discovery through delivery across one or more product areas
- Contribute to and grow the CIQ design system
- Conduct user research and usability testing with technically sophisticated enterprise users
- Define and track design quality metrics and use them to drive iteration
- Prototype rapidly to explore and communicate ideas
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers throughout the full development cycle
- Contribute to design culture and process on a small, high-ownership team
Requirements
- 4+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating complex enterprise B2B product work
- Deep experience designing data-heavy interfaces, multi-step workflows, admin tools, or developer-facing products
- Strong interaction design and visual design skills with demonstrated ability to work across both
- Hands-on experience with user research, usability testing, and measuring design outcomes
- Proficiency in Figma
- Active use of AI tools in design and prototyping workflows
- The ability to operate independently, drive decisions, and move fast without waiting for direction
- A friendly, collaborative, humble, honest, and always striving to be better attitude
- Proven work experience as a product designer on technically complex B2B or enterprise software products
- Portfolio required, demonstrating shipped product work and the thinking behind design decisions
- Experience working on small design teams or as the primary designer for a product area
Nice to have
- Background in a growth-stage technology company, preferably in developer tools or data. Infrastructure, analytics, security, or a related technical domain.
