Role overview
Hard Rock Digital is building a team to become the best online sportsbook, casino, and social casino company in the world, leveraging the global brand of Hard Rock and the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Their Games Studio is dedicated to building world-class iCasino games, including slots, Card & Table, and Arcade games, to define the next generation of online casino entertainment. The Senior Graphic Artist - Studio Slots will work with the Art Director to develop creative art and concepts for in-house iCasino games, moving from concept art and mood boards to production and polish. This role involves partnering with Product Managers, Producers, game development teams, math, engineering, and external contributors to ensure games are visually stunning, play smoothly, and reflect player-first values.
Responsibilities
- Game Art Vision: Working with the Art Director to define and direct the visual identity of each game, from game concept to final polish—through clear creative direction and compelling concept art.
- Create Concept Art: Develop characters, environments, UI themes, and mood boards to establish visual direction, especially for internal & external development partners.
- Work with Internal & External Art Teams: Produce key assets and style guides to deliver high-quality, on-game visuals.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with product, design, math, and engineering to bring ideas to life within creative and technical constraints.
- Prototype & Iterate: Build visual prototypes and motion tests to refine ideas and solve presentation challenges early.
- Production: Manage timelines, asset delivery, and feedback loops to ensure quality and alignment throughout the art pipeline working with other lead team members.
- Design Systems: Maintain scalable visual frameworks and reusable assets to support speed and consistency across titles.
Requirements
- Deep experience in creating game art, and concepts for real-money games including slots, Card & table, and Arcade games, with multiple shipped titles at a AAA-level quality.
- Portfolio link showing games created should be provided when applying.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating original game art including concepting, asset design, UI/UX, and animation pipelines.
- 5+ years of experience in casino game development, art production, and asset delivery.
- Mastery of 2D/3D art tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Spine, Unity/Unreal) and fluency in both vector and bitmap workflows.
- Ability to work across diverse art styles, from photorealistic to stylized or branded IPs, while respecting artistic integrity and licensing needs.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills—you can pitch creative ideas to execs and explain workflows to developers with equal ease.
- A highly collaborative, fast-moving mindset—you’re comfortable working remotely, juggling multiple projects, and adapting quickly to feedback.
- A sense of humor and a passion for building compelling, high-quality fun games and player experiences.
