Role overview

Zencoder.ai builds and orchestrates AI agents capable of performing real-world work including code, research, and operations. As the company evolves from developer tooling into a platform for human-AI collaboration, they are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help scale the platform and shape the future of software development.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on building the next-generation AI coding platform.
Take ownership of designing and building key features.
Work across the stack, which currently consists of TypeScript and Kotlin.
Apply a product mindset by thinking deeply about users, bringing ideas for product growth, and proposing and launching new things.
Drive projects from concept to launch with autonomy and accountability.

Requirements

10+ years of experience building complex, production-grade applications.
Deep expertise in backend development in Java / Kotlin / TypeScript.
Strong computer science foundation combined with a deep understanding of modern software architecture and design principles.
Proven record of applying software architecture and design principles effectively in real-world, user-facing products.
Product mindset: thinking beyond code, caring about the 'why' behind features, and proactively contributing ideas.
Strong sense of ownership: taking initiative and thriving with autonomy.
Deep familiarity with AI assistants and a solid grasp of the evolving AI landscape.
Ability to translate AI trends and capabilities into practical product improvements.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-moving, cross-functional team.
Passion for continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation.
Comfort working in dynamic, fast-changing environments, ideally with prior experience in start-ups or early-stage teams.
