Role overview
You will join the Core Network Engineering team at Webbing, working hands-on with live mobile core infrastructure spanning global roaming, MVNO operations, and an active 5G-SA roadmap. This is a technical and operational role where you will troubleshoot real network issues across 3G, 4G, and 5G Standalone, own tickets end-to-end, and lead integrations and projects on a live production network. Webbing is a global data MVNO founded in early 2010 that delivers enterprise-grade, global connectivity and IoT services across more than 200 countries and 600+ mobile carriers' networks.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot real network issues across 3G, 4G, and 5G Standalone
- Own tickets end-to-end
- Lead integrations and projects on a live production network
- Working with monitoring tools
- Design, scale, and integrate a network element into a live network
- Integration between network elements
Requirements
- Deep understanding of MNO/MVNO architecture and end-to-end GTP flow design
- Complete familiarity with 3GPP standards across 2G/3G/4G and 5G
- GTP-C / GTP-U, CUPS - bearer lifecycle, session management, data plane flows
- Diameter & Radius - routing, realms, application IDs (Gx, Gy, S6a), AAA flows
- 5G-SA architecture - AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF, PCF — hands-on or advanced lab experience
- Strong understanding of GRX routing and IPX interconnect operations
- Understanding of roaming processes and procedures: IR.21, IPX, and GRX operations
- Hands-on experience with PGW - configuration, troubleshooting, session management
- Hands-on experience with PCRF - Gx interface, policy management
- Hands-on experience with GTP Proxy - GTP-C interception, roaming traffic steering
- Hands-on experience with Diameter - routing configuration, signaling troubleshooting, experience analyzing Diameter flows
- Hands-on experience with Radius - AAA flows, authentication, and accounting troubleshooting, experience analyzing Radius
- At least 3 years of practical experience as a core engineer
- Comfortable working under pressure during live network incidents

- Familiar with APIs and basic scripting (Python or similar)
