Job Summary We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise PostgreSQL databases. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, high availability, database performance tuning, backup & recovery, and disaster recovery. Required Skills - Strong experience with PostgreSQL 9.x and above - AWS Aurora PostgreSQL administration - High Availability, Clustering, and Replication - Database Backup & Recovery - Performance Monitoring & Tuning - Database Installation, Upgrades, Migration, and Cloning - Linux/UNIX and Windows administration - Shell Scripting - Monitoring and Ticketing Tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL databases. - Implement High Availability, Replication, and Disaster Recovery solutions. - Perform database migrations, cloning, patching, and refresh activities. - Monitor database performance and optimize queries. - Manage backups, recovery, capacity planning, and database security. - Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell scripting. - Troubleshoot production issues and provide 24x7 on-call support. - Create documentation, SOPs, and mentor junior DBAs. Preferred Skills - MySQL Administration - AWS Cloud - Solaris, Linux, AIX, or HP-UX - ITIL processes and Service Management tools - Automation and scripting experience
