Responsibilities
- Governing the vulnerability management lifecycle by overseeing processes, tooling, and remediation efforts across all engineering teams.
- Automating workflows and processes to reduce developer friction, toil, and manual overhead across daily security operations.
- Collaborating with GRC and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Partnering closely with development and infrastructure teams to identify and remediate critical security issues and vulnerabilities.
- Implementing comprehensive Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices to strengthen security throughout the entire development process.
- Mitigating vulnerabilities and security weaknesses in code and infrastructure through partnership with operations and engineering teams.
- Serving as a lead security subject matter expert during incident response efforts and customer security escalations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Demonstrate capability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross‑functional engineering and DevOps teams, fostering a cooperative security‑focused culture
- Work within contemporary cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and Linode
- Demonstrate expertise in industry compliance standards such as FedRAMP, PCI, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and SOC2
- Gain experience configuring and operating core security testing tools, including SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning, and CSPM in enterprise SSDLC pipelines
- Demonstrate expertise in at least one programming language such as C, Java, Golang, Python, or JavaScript
