Role overview
The Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a Research and Development center with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts focused on developing Technology, Products, and Digital solutions, including product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. Located in Chennai and Bangalore, the center features various product test labs covering 20,000 sq.ft. As a Business R&D Experienced Professional, you will specialize in Substation Automation & SCADA, responsible for Product integration, system testing, and IEC61850-based engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Involved in Product integration and system testing
- Responsible for Substation Automation & SCADA Domain Consultant
- Develop, deploy and maintain a SCADA system
- Contributing on IEC61850 based engineering concepts and solutions to be applied in IED Configuration Tools
- Contributing to functional documentation and review
- Responsible for coordination on technical front with stakeholders
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering
- 4-8 years of experience in system integration, verification, or quality assurance in power systems
- Knowledge in Engineering or development of products/components for substation Automation/SCADA System/Numerical Protection/Process Automation/Power Management Systems/ Energy Management Systems
- Knowledge in Implementing or Engineering with Communication protocols: IEC61850
- Experience in all phases of Software Development cycle
- Agile testing experience
- Experience in usage of test management tools like TFS/MTM, Azure DevOps
- Should be a team player
- Understand and optimize the architecture and design aspects from Domain perspective
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language
