Role overview

We are seeking a mid-level, versatile Software Engineer to develop and maintain features across both front-end and back-end systems. The role contributes to security safeguard capabilities, GraphQL interfaces, and front-end systems including internal tools and the customer-facing portal. This position requires comfort moving between front-end and back-end domains, along with solid experience in at least one cloud platform and an interest in API and interface design.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain features across both front-end and back-end systems, depending on current team priorities.
Develop and maintain front-end functionality for internal tools and the customer-facing portal, primarily addressing bugs and enhancements, with the opportunity to contribute to a future portal redesign.
Build and support GraphQL interfaces and other API/interface layers used across the platform.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects across the stack, working with teammates to identify root causes.
Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of security safeguard capabilities across cloud environments.
Support and troubleshoot services running in cloud environments, including containerized workloads.
Follow established data-handling standards when working with sensitive data.
Collaborate with onshore and offshore team members across time zones, including regular participation in team standups.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3–5+ years of professional software development experience across front-end and back-end work.
Working proficiency with at least one modern front-end framework.
Proficiency with at least one back-end language/framework.
Experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: data structures, APIs, testing, and version control.
Ability to work independently on assigned features while collaborating well with a distributed team.
Comfort incorporating AI-assisted coding tools into daily development work.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills for cross-team, cross-timezone collaboration.

Nice to have

Experience with GraphQL or other modern API/interface technologies.
Experience building security or compliance-related features in a cloud environment.
Experience with multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
Experience contributing to a customer-facing product or portal.
Familiarity with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
Experience setting up or working with agentic AI coding pipelines.
