Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS | GitLab CI/CD) Experience: 8+ Years Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract Role Summary We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of experience to lead CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure management, and deployment strategies for AI platform initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GitLab CI/CD, AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Bash, and Python, with the ability to architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI. Architect and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Manage cloud services including AWS EKS, VPC, S3, IAM, Networking, and Security. Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Develop automation scripts using Python and Bash. Lead infrastructure improvements, deployment automation, and platform reliability initiatives. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, and production issues. Collaborate with AI, engineering, and platform teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions. Implement DevOps best practices for monitoring, security, scalability, and disaster recovery. Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive automation and operational excellence. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of hands-on DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure experience. Strong expertise in GitLab CI/CD and deployment automation. Extensive experience with AWS (EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, EC2, Networking). Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting. Experience designing highly available and scalable cloud architectures. Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, security, and cloud infrastructure. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and leadership skills. Preferred Skills Experience supporting AI/ML platforms or MLOps environments. Knowledge of Helm, ArgoCD, GitOps, or Kubernetes Operators. Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch. AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes certifications.
