Role overview

The Social Media & Content Coordinator (Remote, Contract) will grow brand presence, engage the community, and produce content that educates, entertains, and converts across social platforms, email, and YouTube.

Responsibilities

  • Write engaging, on-brand copy for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, blog, and email
  • Turn technical/industry topics into clear, reader‑friendly content for homeowners, residents, and investors
  • Write monthly newsletters and drip campaign content with strong subject lines
  • Design social graphics, carousels, and reel covers in Canva using our brand kit
  • Create custom YouTube thumbnails and in‑video graphics (titles, lower‑thirds, callouts)
  • Edit long‑form YouTube videos and short‑form clips (Reels/Shorts) — footage assembly, pacing, captions
  • Maintain the weekly content calendar and build out posts/carousels
  • Research trending topics in property management, real estate, and homeownership
  • Respond to comments and proactively engage with local/partner accounts to build reach
  • Write and design weekly Google Business Profile posts and graphics for each of our 4 markets
  • Maintain GBP listings and upload fresh photos weekly
  • Support local search visibility using market‑specific keywords

Requirements

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Solid grasp of social media marketing, YouTube, and community engagement
  • Newsletter/email campaign experience
  • Canva proficiency (thumbnails, in‑video graphics)
  • Video editing skills a plus
  • Comfortable working independently and hitting recurring deadlines
  • Legal right to work in the country of residence (no sponsorship provided)
  • Reliable internet required (50 Mbps+)

Nice to have

  • Background in property management, real estate, or service industries
  • Familiarity with local SEO
  • Video editing skills (if not already possessed)
  • Experience with tools such as Descript, Metricool (or similar), ActiveCampaign/Constant Contact, Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, Google Workspace

  • Flexible schedule: Monday–Friday, either 8:30–11:30 am PST or 2–5 pm PST
