Overview Job Details This role involves working with team members to understand requirements and improve testing environments throughout the software development lifecycle. Engineers I handle moderately complex testing tasks, assist in designing test environments, create test plans, and monitor quality KPIs. Responsibilities Support requirement reviews and sprint planning sessions Assist in translating business/technical requirements into test cases Help evaluate testability of requirements based on documentation Set up and maintain test environments for manual/automated testing Execute test charters and analyze results Use automated testing suites and explore edge cases Gather test data, assign severity levels, and document system responses Perform initial defect analysis and root cause investigation Generate metric reports for leadership review Maintain automation scripts and test reports Conduct tests to ensure software meets standards Recommend improvements to testing strategies Monitor testing process metrics for continuous improvement Collaborate with engineers to modernize testing tools
