Role overview
We are a Blockchain venture studio that designs and builds new businesses. We're an anti-disciplinary and globally distributed software development team of designers, engineers, and social scientists building the future on Blockchain technology. We partner with Entrepreneurs, Challenger Enterprises and Governments, to help them build blockchain organizations for scale, market leadership, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Build blockchain systems that will reshape industries and redefine the way modern business operates
- Maintain system performance using at least one of the following scripting languages: GoLang, C++
- Deliver engineering excellence as you strive to build scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant blockchain systems
- Ship high-quality product features on schedule; never call code 'released' until confident it's correct
- Distill complex ideas into simple, credible arguments; write well and tell stories about the product, people, and the ways we're helping industry and society
- Embrace an asynchronous communication environment as part of a distributed team
- Work with others to get stuff done as part of a team of entrepreneurs building things from the bottom up
Requirements
- Passion for blockchain technology
- Experience with Smart contract development in Solidity or Serpent
- Interest in P2P networking, distributed systems, and consensus methodologies (PoS, DPoS, PoW, Tendermint)
- Understanding of cryptography including asymmetric (pub/priv key), symmetric, hash functions, encryption/signatures, and ECDH, ECDSA, PGP, and AES
- Versatility: intimate knowledge of the whole web stack, including front-end frameworks, database, network layer, HTTP protocol, TCP/IP, and Linux
- Understanding of how all the pieces of advanced technological architectures fit together and how they impact the performance of robust distributed applications
- Self-starter attitude; enjoys building things from the bottom up
- Great advocate with ability to distill complex ideas into simple, credible arguments
- Strong written communication skills in English
- Team player who enjoys working with others

- Ability or eagerness to learn MongoDB
- Ability or eagerness to learn ReThinkDB
- Ability or eagerness to learn Kafka
- Familiarity with LLVM compiler
