Role overview
NVIDIA is seeking an elite Verification Engineer to verify the design and implementation of next-generation PCI Express controllers for GPUs and system-on-chips (SoCs). This role focuses on ensuring correctness across product lines impacting consumer graphics, artificial intelligence, self-driving cars, and advanced computing. The position emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and the use of advanced verification methodologies like UVM to push technological boundaries.
Responsibilities
- Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models, and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP/sub-system levels using advanced verification methodologies
- Develop reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers, and scoreboards following coverage-driven verification methodology
- Understand design specifications and implementation to define verification scope, test plans, tests, and verification infrastructure
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon verification teams to validate designs
- Ensure correctness of PCIe controller designs through verification activities
Requirements
- B.Tech./M.Tech. degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in verification at Unit/Sub-system/SOC levels using Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Background in verifying IP or interconnect protocols (e.g., PCI Express, USB, SATA)
- Experience in constrained random verification environments focused on functional coverage
- DV methodologies expertise (e.g., UVM/VMM) and industry-standard verification tools for simulation/debug
Nice to have
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above)
- Proficiency in testbench development using SystemVerilog
- Perl/Python or similar scripting/SW programming language experience
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation
