Canonical is hiring a globally remote Enterprise Project Manager to streamline and accelerate the adoption of open source across the global enterprise technology market. The role supports enterprise customers leveraging Canonical’s open source approach for complex projects across bare metal, cloud, and edge environments, and is responsible for ensuring project success through owning, driving, communicating with, and respectfully engaging all stakeholders, while upholding values of integrity and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Ensure programs and projects are delivered within schedule, scope, cost, budget, and resource expectations
- Identify key technical and project risks and issues, and actively implement mitigating actions
- Maintain strong customer focus and work with all key stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
- Conduct regular status meetings and business reviews with customers, and provide direction as needed
- Manage the delivery schedule of critical third-party deliverables for assigned projects
- Advocate for appropriate Canonical portfolio technologies to customers
- Drive project success while managing associated risks
Requirements
- Experience in Enterprise IT Programs, Process Improvement, and Software Engineering Project Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience leading cross-cultural, remote, and global project teams and customers
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Deep understanding of Linux, Open Source, and Cloud Technologies
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Nice to have
- Project Management Certification, preferably PMP or equivalent certification
- Agile Project Management certification, preferably Scrum Master or equivalent certification
