Role overview
Interview Copilot AI is building a privacy‑first desktop assistant for live job interviews. This applied AI product role centers on our React and Electron client, TypeScript services, Cloudflare API, PostgreSQL, real‑time streaming, and LLM integrations.
Responsibilities
- Own features end to end—from product thinking and UI implementation to APIs, data models, deployment, and observability.
- Build polished desktop experiences with TypeScript, React, and Electron.
- Design and maintain reliable backend APIs and PostgreSQL schemas.
- Improve low‑latency transcription, question detection, answer streaming, and conversation‑aware workflows.
- Integrate LLM and speech‑AI providers with sensible fallbacks, evaluation, privacy, and cost controls.
- Debug across the stack and make pragmatic architecture decisions as the product evolves.
- Raise the bar for testing, security, performance, and maintainability.
Requirements
- A strong track record of shipping production software across a modern frontend and backend.
- Deep working knowledge of TypeScript and React.
- Experience designing backend APIs and working with PostgreSQL.
- Product judgment: you can turn an ambiguous user problem into a simple, dependable feature.
- Clear written communication and the ability to work autonomously.
- Care for privacy, reliability, and the details users notice.
Nice to have
- Electron or another desktop application framework.
- WebSockets, streaming systems, or other real‑time application patterns.
- Real‑time audio capture, transcription, or speech processing.
- Cloudflare Workers or Cloudflare’s developer platform.
- Production LLM integrations, including structured outputs, prompt design, evaluation, provider fallbacks, and latency or cost optimization.
- Experience integrating speech‑to‑text or other speech‑AI APIs.
Benefits
- Full‑time, fully remote role.
Additional details
- The work is product engineering rather than ML research; you do not need experience training foundation models.
- You might lean toward backend product work, frontend product work, or move comfortably between both. What matters most is that you can ship high‑quality features across boundaries.
- The hiring process is conducted remotely through video interviews, including conversations about your experience and relevant product‑engineering work.
