Role overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Sales Planning Analyst to join our Global Sales Operations team. This role is central to our account data cleanup initiatives, and will play a critical part in maintaining account data integrity, supporting sales planning operations, driving process governance, and enabling accurate downstream reporting and sales execution. The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on experience managing and remediating account data at scale — including hierarchy corrections, segmentation cleanup, and disposition standardization — combined with strong business acumen, analytical rigor, and problem-solving capabilities. This individual should be comfortable working cross-functionally across Sales Planning, MDM, and Engineering teams to drive operational excellence, scalable processes, and high-quality master data management.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end account data cleanup projects, including identifying, prioritizing, and resolving data quality issues across account hierarchy, segmentation, revenue, industry, and disposition fields.
- Own and drive large-scale remediation efforts for incorrect parent-child hierarchies, segment misclassifications, inactive accounts, and missing or invalid dispositions.
- Track, monitor, and document overrides to key account attributes to ensure alignment with Sales Planning policies, business rules, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and traceability for manual overrides, hierarchy modifications, and disposition changes to support internal controls, governance standards, and financial reporting compliance.
- Support and manage Reltio workflow notifications by monitoring data issues, routing system alerts to appropriate stakeholders, and driving timely resolution and follow-through.
- Own and maintain the accuracy of account data across systems including Salesforce (SFDC), Reltio, D&B, and Anaplan.
- Monitor and manage account hierarchy, segment, revenue, industry, and other key account attributes to ensure alignment with Sales Planning rules and reporting requirements.
- Serve as the go-to expert on account data structure and integrity, setting standards for how data quality issues are identified and resolved.
- Design and execute periodic audits to validate account hierarchies, segmentation, assignments, and key planning attributes.
- Partner with MDM and IT teams to identify root causes and implement scalable process improvements that prevent data quality issues upstream.
- Recommend and drive operational enhancements that improve data quality, governance, and planning efficiency.
- Support the annual and ongoing sales planning cycles by validating account assignments and planning-related data across SFDC, Reltio, and Anaplan.
- Monitor key fields and dependencies that impact quota assignment, territory alignment, forecasting, and sales crediting.
- Provide analytical support and insights to improve planning accuracy and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Planning, MDM, Engineering, and Sales Operations stakeholders to resolve account-related issues and improve business processes.
- Serve as a trusted partner and subject matter expert on account hierarchy management, data governance, and planning operations best practices.
- Effectively communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders across global teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, or Master Data Management, with a strong track record of hands-on account data cleanup, hierarchy remediation, and governance work (required — this is a core function of the role, not a peripheral responsibility).
- Demonstrated experience leading or executing large-scale data cleanup or remediation projects involving account hierarchies, segmentation, or master data.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and Anaplan; hands-on experience with Reltio and D&B strongly preferred (not just familiarity).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of sales planning processes, territory management, quota allocation, and sales compensation dependencies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams and influence without authority.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders in a matrixed global environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex operational issues.
- Self-driven, highly organized, and adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Reltio and D&B (stated as strongly preferred within the requirement).
- Experience supporting global sales organizations is preferred.
