Role overview

Transcom is seeking a Global Security Operations Engineer to support the company in day‑to‑day security related matters. The role places you on the front line of security operations, delivering impactful work across the organization while working in an international, inclusive, remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the security infrastructure.
  • Conduct, amongst other things, network and server hardening, pen test, patch management and access control.
  • Assist in providing audit responses that pertains to PCI DSS, ISO, SOC and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor events from intrusion detection systems and system logs.
  • Ensure adherence to security procedure requirements.
  • Respond to and resolve all security incidents.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science /cyber security and/or 5 years equivalent work experience in the SecOps / cyber security field.
  • Ability to work as part of a (remote) team, sharing knowledge and information.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capacity to work within rules and procedures.
  • Systematic and methodical approach to tasks.
  • Fluency in English is a must (both written and spoken).

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of SIEM / SOAR tools such as Google SecOps is a plus.
