Role overview
Dura Digital is expanding its team of creative consultants and seeks a highly motivated Data Engineer to drive digital transformation for clients. The role involves designing and implementing data architectures, leveraging Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and Python to deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures, database systems, and processing systems
- Leverage GCP and BigQuery to optimize data retrieval and improve data delivery speed
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
- Collaborate with stakeholders and data users to understand and implement business requirements
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or a similar role in data management
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Python is essential
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modelling and optimization
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
- Experience with Vertex AI
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms
- Complete alignment with Dura Digital’s company values
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required
