Role overview
This is a remote position for PVSolar Zonal Project Management (PV LP-zPM), a Middle Management Cadre role with a primary focus on the Ground Mount PV area. The role involves directly handling technical aspects such as site survey, detailed engineering, procurement, and material management, while overseeing day-to-day project construction through field engineers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Directly take care of technical aspects including site survey, detailed engineering, procurement, and material management.
- Handle day-to-day activities of project construction through various field engineers and staff.
- Achieve project targets, including engineering, procurement, project construction, and management, for the assigned zone/project.
- Interact with clients to match targets and cash flows.
- Monitor and ensure profitability and efficiency for each project through the highly matured ERP system.
- Manage site managers and skilled worker teams in the zone for efficient operations.
- Perform project management.
- Organize and ensure the management of ground mount solar installers, technicians, and subcontractors in a timely and optimal manner for installation, testing, commissioning, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure efficient receipt of material, handling, and accountability.
- Ensure proper coordination and liaison with DISCOMs and statutory authorities for metering arrangements, CEIG, etc.
- Ensure very high detailed engineering and better vendor relations.
- Be ready to get work done at site by visiting and staying at the site until things come into control.
Requirements
- B.E. / B.Tech graduation in electrical engineering.
- Mastery in detailed engineering, BOM validation, and procurement activities.
- 5-8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the Solar PV sector.
- Knowledge of project management concepts and familiarity with software such as MS Project.
- Strong leadership and team-carrying ability, functioning at the level of "Manager".
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Exposure to various statutory requirements for construction sites.
- Strong visualization and planning capability.
- Keen tech savvy to fully adopt working in the ERP software platform.
Nice to have
- Ability to work in Civil and mechanical design validation is desired.
- Experience in HT equipment installation and commissioning is desired.
- Experience in rooftop PV plants is an added advantage.
- AutoCAD hands-on experience.
