Role overview
This role is the PVSolar Zonal In-charge (PV RTS-zIC), a Middle / Senior Management Cadre position focused on the rooftop PV area. The zonal in-charge is responsible for target setting and achievement across sales, projects, and O&M, while monitoring profitability and efficiency, managing HR and general administration, coordinating statutory and DISCOM matters, and leading zonal sales and project teams. The position reports to the SBU Head/CEO.
Responsibilities
- Target setting and achieving for sales, Projects (including engineering, procurement, project construction, management etc) and O&M of the existing plants of the assigned zone.
- Monitoring and ensuring the profitability and efficiency for each project, through the highly matured ERP system.
- Taking care of HR and general admin of the Zone area team and establishments, in association with corporate team.
- Project management.
- Organising and ensuring the management of solar installers, technicians, and subcontractors in timely and optimally for installation, testing, commissioning, or performance monitoring etc.
- Ensuring the efficient receipt of material, handling and accountability.
- Ensuring proper coordinating and liaisoning with DISCOMs and statutory authorities for net metering arrangement, CEIG etc.
- Ensuring very high detailed engineering and better vendor relations.
- Ensuring timely pre offer site survey, analyzing input from the client and designing electrical documents and drawings etc.
- Managing timely submission of offers and follow up to result for closure of order from clients.
- Making the standardized offer to all clients in the zone through the zCS zonal central sales team.
- Handling all O&M projects and day-to-day activities of project construction through various field junior engineers through the zPM zonal project management.
Requirements
- B.E. / B.Tech graduation in electrical engineering.
- Mastery in detailed engineering, BOM validation and procurement activities.
- 6-10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the Solar PV sector.
- Knowledge of project management concepts and familiarity with one of the software like MS project, etc.
- Strong leadership and team carrying ability; ability to function at the level of "Managers Manager".
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Exposure to various statutory requirements for construction sites.
- Strong visualization and planning capability.
- Keen tech savvy to be able to fully adopt working in an ERP software platform.
Nice to have
- Experience in ground mounted PV plants will be an added advantage.
- Experience in HT equipment installation is desired.
