Role overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to lead a small team of QA engineers and drive quality assurance initiatives across data-intensive healthcare applications. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and healthcare domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, capable of managing testing activities within agile sprints, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high-quality delivery of complex business-critical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 2 junior-to-mid-level QA engineers.
- Drive QA planning, execution, and delivery within Agile/Scrum sprints.
- Prioritize testing activities and manage day-to-day QA operations.
- Respond effectively to urgent business requests and shifting priorities.
- Foster collaboration across Engineering, Product, and Business teams.
- Establish and improve QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test cases.
- Validate complex business logic and data transformations.
- Identify quality risks proactively and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Review test coverage and ensure high standards of accuracy and completeness.
- Support both functional and data validation testing efforts.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data flows, transformations, and business rules.
- Perform end-to-end testing of custom-built solutions and integrations.
- Analyze healthcare datasets to ensure data quality and business rule compliance.
- Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and validate expected outcomes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Quality Assurance experience, including team leadership responsibilities.
- Advanced SQL proficiency with experience writing complex queries for data validation and testing.
- Strong experience testing custom applications, data pipelines, and business logic.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Solid understanding of test planning, test case design, defect management, and QA methodologies.
- Experience working with Healthcare Data, including healthcare datasets, reporting, or analytics platforms.
- Understanding of healthcare business processes, data structures, and quality considerations.
- Ability to create meaningful test scenarios that validate complex healthcare-related workflows and business logic.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing QA team members.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic QA initiatives with hands-on execution.
- Demonstrated capability to manage priorities and handle urgent requests in a fast-paced environment.
- 10+ years total experience.

- Experience validating data in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake (Snowflake-specific expertise is not required).
