Role overview
Full Stack Engineer with strong MERN stack experience to build and scale customer-facing products, backend services, and AI-powered workflows in a fast-moving AI startup.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend and backend applications.
- Build intuitive and high-performance user experiences using React.
- Develop secure and reliable backend services using and Express.
- Design and optimize APIs, databases, and application architecture.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, AI, and Engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Integrate AI capabilities into product workflows and user experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues when required.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, and development standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
- Currently working at a product-based company.
- Strong experience with the MERN stack (MongoDB, , , ).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable web applications.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
- Strong understanding of system design, performance optimization, and scalability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and AI-powered services is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks, state management, and responsive design.
