Role overview
NodeMeta is hiring a Solidity Smart Contract Developer to build, maintain, and extend the smart contract layer for its Web3 ecosystem on BNB Smart Chain. The role spans the live mining and staking ecosystem, the NFT marketplace in active development, SmartCommerce payment and escrow contracts, and future GreenCommerce extensions, with a focus on security, gas optimization, and audit readiness.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, optimize, and extend existing staking contracts.
- Improve gas efficiency and prepare for the next phase of staking features (NFT-based staking, tiered reward structures).
- Design and implement the NFT marketplace smart contracts from scratch, including BEP-721/BEP-1155 minting, trading/auction logic, and the NFT staking engine (reward calculation, lock-up periods, safe withdrawal flows).
- Own the NFT marketplace contract architecture.
- Design on-chain payment and settlement contracts for SmartCommerce.
- Build escrow logic that protects both buyers and sellers.
- Work closely with the backend team to ensure on-chain payments trigger real-world fulfillment reliably.
- Design and implement NFT minting contracts (BEP-721 and BEP-1155).
- Build trading logic — listings, bids, auctions, direct sales with escrow.
- Implement the staking engine — per-second reward accrual, lock-up periods, safe withdrawal with reentrancy protection.
- Design the reward token distribution mechanism for staked NFTs.
- Build on-chain payment acceptance and validation logic.
- Design escrow contracts for buyer/seller protection.
- Handle edge cases — slippage tolerance, partial payments, refund mechanisms.
- Create settlement logic that bridges on-chain payments to off-chain fulfillment.
- Write comprehensive test suites for every contract (unit, integration, fuzz).
- Optimize gas usage across all contracts.
- Prepare contracts for third-party security audit — clean code, clear documentation, known-risk inventory.
- Coordinate with auditors on findings and remediate issues before mainnet deployment.
Requirements
- 2+ years writing production Solidity with deployed, verified contracts (share BscScan or Etherscan links — this matters more than your resume).
- Strong understanding of smart contract vulnerabilities — reentrancy, integer overflow, oracle manipulation, front-running, access control issues.
- Hands-on experience with Hardhat or Foundry.
- Familiarity with OpenZeppelin contracts and EVM token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155).
- Ability to reason about tradeoffs between gas optimization, security, and code readability.
- Clear written communication in English for async collaboration.
Nice to have
- Prior work on staking protocols, reward distribution systems, or NFT marketplaces.
- Experience preparing for or completing a third-party audit (CertiK, PeckShield, Trail of Bits, OpenZeppelin).
- Familiarity with IPFS or Arweave for decentralized metadata storage.
- Full-stack blockchain developers with strong Solidity depth are welcome.
- Experience with formal verification or advanced fuzz testing (Echidna, Foundry fuzzing).
