Role overview
As a Forensics Software Engineer at Pure Storage within the Fleet Reliability Engineering team, you will own the reliability of a worldwide customer fleet of a hundred thousand systems. The role focuses on architecting innovative software and AI solutions to analyze and predict the health of global customer systems, offering SRE-minded engineers a fast-track to gain broad understanding of the codebase and shape the future of distributed systems reliability.
Responsibilities
- Leading investigations and engineering solutions for emergent issues.
- Acquiring a broad and deep understanding of Pure Storage's full software stack.
- Developing services and AI tools to diagnose and protect our growing fleet.
- Designing next generation analytics to monitor our fleet's health and anticipate new problems.
- Representing our customers when presenting complex product issues & developing solutions with engineering peers.
- Representing Pure Storage Engineering in interactions with customers to enable million dollar deals.
- Participating in our on-call rotation to rapidly respond to customer outages world-wide and improve Pure Storage's world-class uptime.
- Architecting innovative software and AI solutions to analyze and predict the health of global customer systems.
- Developing services for real-time predictive analysis of system behavior.
- Building software to proactively protect our customers.
- Working with and getting to know engineering teams all across Pure to resolve customer problems.
Requirements
- Natural curiosity, obsessive attention to detail and innate troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and describe in simple terms.
- SRE experience with large production environments.
- Ability to speak and write without offending unless intended.
- 6 months to 1 years relevant work experience.
