Role overview
Druva provides a resilient, cloud‑native SaaS platform that secures and recovers data, cyber, identity, and AI risks for enterprise customers. The Senior Staff Software Engineer – Escalations is responsible for fixing product bugs and delivering code changes to ensure reliability, resiliency, stability, and sustenance for all Druva SaaS customers.
Responsibilities
- Fix product bugs and deliver code changes to production.
- Suggest and propose solutions to complex design problems for the assigned technology/workload.
- Own and drive cloud production issue investigations and root cause analyses, delivering solutions in collaboration with extended development teams.
- Drive validation of future releases in a staging environment for customer use cases, acting as gatekeeper for product release and quality assurance.
- Partner with respective scrum teams and Product Management for feature design and product improvements.
- Ensure communication flows well cross‑functionally for product updates and known issues.
- Work closely with Sales, Tech Support, Customer Success, and Professional Services teams assisting them on POCs and implementation projects.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of experience in a combination of Development and Sustenance roles.
- Extensive hands‑on experience in Go/Python on Unix/Linux or Windows platforms.
- Excellent programming skills with strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design concepts.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and demonstrated ability to articulate and present technical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to develop and maintain working relationships at all levels, including customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in enterprise software with deep knowledge of software development including threading, network, and disk I/O, data transformations, data integrity, systems management, systems administration, and monitoring.
- B.Tech/B.E/M.E/M.Tech (IT or Computer Science) or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Exposure to specific technologies around Office 365, VMWare, HyperV, Nutanix, FS, NAS.
- 6+ years of software development experience in Python/Golang.
- Experience in development of complex, scale‑out, distributed systems based on Service Oriented Architecture/Microservices.
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Knowledge of the backup or storage domain.
