Role overview
As a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend at Harvey, you will define and build the user experience for multiple AI‑powered legal and professional service products, including Assistant, Vault, Workflows, and Microsoft Word/Outlook add‑ins. You will lead end‑to‑end UI feature development, mentor peers, and help shape the frontend architecture and standards while working in a fast‑growing, high‑impact environment.
Responsibilities
- Build new interfaces for lawyers and organizations to collaborate with AI.
- Lead end-to-end UI features for Assistant, Vault, Workflows, Word/Outlook add‑ins, and future Harvey products—from scoping and design reviews to implementation, launch, and iteration.
- Build polished, high‑performance React + TypeScript interfaces using TailwindCSS, with crisp interactions, resilient state management, and strong error handling.
- Architect reusable components and patterns and evolve the internal design system.
- Optimize frontend performance at scale.
- Collaborate tightly with design and backend/infrastructure teams to shape APIs and UX for long‑running jobs, streaming results, and tool‑calling workflows.
- Raise the bar on frontend reliability and security UX for enterprise and regulated environments.
- Mentor peers through thoughtful code reviews and documentation; help refine frontend standards and developer experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience (post‑BE/B.Tech/MS) in a product‑focused frontend software engineering role.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and CSS (specifically TailwindCSS).
- Proven track record of building fast‑growing SaaS products by leveraging PWA technologies.
- Proven track record of shipping highly intuitive products with strong attention to detail.
- Must be authorized to work in India; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience working at startups and scale‑ups (anywhere from early‑to‑late‑stage) is a plus.
