TTEC Digital is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Platform — Backend / AI/ML / Integrations) to join an innovation group building the next generation of AI CX tools, including automated QA, conversational analytics, knowledge assist, and agentic automation. The role operates like an early-stage startup backed by the scale and enterprise client base of TTEC (NASDAQ: TTEC), focusing on shipping products into thousands of live enterprise deployments to move the trajectory of the company. This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity for a senior developer to work on a real-time platform combining voice, desktop, intelligence, and AI that is event-driven, high-throughput, and low-latency.
Responsibilities
- Build Go services on the event bus, AI/ML services and pipelines, or connector frameworks to CCaaS/CRM/telephony.
- Own services on the event bus (NATS-class), high-throughput transactional data models and WebSocket backends.
- Own your track's slice — AI/ML pipelines (RAG, streaming inference, eval) or connectors (CCaaS/CTI, CRM, SIP/RTP) or core platform services.
- Manage your latency budget and your committed timelines.
- Demonstrate ideas easily via prototypes and working software over slides or proposals.
- Evaluate technology fast, adopt what earns it, and keep shipping.
- Participate in 1-week sprints and Friday demos.
Requirements
- 7+ years backend experience; 3+ languages across your career.
- HIGH++ proficiency in GoLang (mandatory and tested); production Go at scale, not dabbled.
- Medium-strength Python or another scriptable language.
- Experience with event-driven systems in production (NATS / Kafka / Redpanda-class) and pub/sub thinking.
- Experience with heavy WebSocket, real-time, and low-latency systems.
- Mid-tier or better hands-on AI experience in the code and product (built with LLM APIs, embeddings, RAG, or model serving).
- Daily use of AI-assisted development to multiply velocity.
- Ability to ship clean code fast, unblock yourself, and provide estimates that hold.
- Master debugger capable of reading unfamiliar code, stack traces, or flaky partner APIs to find breakpoints.
- Self-starter with grit, a startup mentality, and a show-me bias.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, models, and priorities without drama.
- Ability to understand requirements and stay locked on them without getting distracted by 'shiny objects'.
- Ability to make and hit committed timelines.
Nice to have
- Strong ++ for data graph/knowledge graph background, or hands-on AI/ML model experience (training, serving, eval).
- GCP preferred.
- Voice (SIP/RTP/SIPREC), CCaaS/CTI, or desktop-adjacent experience (strong plus depending on track).
- For AI/ML track: deeper Python, production GenAI/NLU, streaming inference, eval frameworks, RAG.
- For Integrations track: CCaaS/CTI platforms (Genesys, Amazon Connect, NICE, Five9), CRM connectors, SIP/RTP, fault-tolerant connector design.
