Role overview
Tilt is building a new credit system that looks beyond traditional scores, using mobile‑first products and machine‑learning models powered by over 250 real‑time financial signals. The company is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the NIRA team to lead engineering across product, platform reliability, data infrastructure, and internal tooling, collaborating closely with Product, Data Science, Credit, and Marketing to scale a fast‑growing business.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the engineering roadmap across NIRA
- Own engineering across product, platform reliability, data infrastructure, and internal tooling
- Raise the bar on engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, reliability, observability)
- Lead and grow a high‑performing team of engineers
- Drive technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and scalability
- Partner cross‑functionally to deliver meaningful business outcomes
- Work closely with Product, Data Science, Credit, and Marketing to build, scale, and improve the business
Requirements
- 7+ years in engineering, with 3+ years in management
- Experience leading teams in startup or scaling environments
- Strong track record improving engineering standards and delivery
- Comfortable operating across product, infrastructure, and data
- Clear communicator with a bias for action
