Role overview
HighRadius, a leading provider of cloud-based Autonomous Software for the Office of the CFO, seeks a highly technical and resilient Associate Architect (VMWare / Windows) to engineer, scale, and govern hybrid enterprise infrastructure and cloud operations. The role bridges business architecture and low-level technical execution, focusing on architecting highly available VMware and AWS environments, implementing CI/CD workflows, and leading cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Windows Server lifecycles, enterprise virtualization, and cloud systems engineering, with a zero-trust mindset toward PCI compliance and security.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to align infrastructure delivery with broader business objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for critical escalations, driving accountability and ensuring seamless communication during high-pressure situations.
- Manage and maintain enterprise virtualization environments, overseeing ESXi host and vCenter upgrades to ensure high availability and optimal resource utilization.
- Engineer and support mid-level complexity AWS cloud infrastructure, leveraging cloud services to optimize workloads, improve scalability, and maintain overall environment health.
- Administer, optimize, and maintain critical business applications on Windows platforms, including SFTP, SMTP, MI2, and MC2 systems.
- Orchestrate end-to-end Windows OS upgrades and legacy-to-modern system migrations, minimizing downtime and mitigating compatibility risks.
- Design and execute robust build and deployment workflows tailored for Windows environments to streamline application delivery.
- Manage comprehensive patch management schedules, ensuring all Windows servers remain secure against emerging vulnerabilities.
- Spearhead PCI Audit handling and compliance readiness, ensuring infrastructure configurations and access controls rigorously meet industry security standards.
- Own the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for major incidents, identifying systemic vulnerabilities and implementing permanent remediation steps.
- Provide deep technical troubleshooting expertise across complex, multi-tiered infrastructure to maintain strict SLA compliance.
- Oversee software and tool subscription renewals, forecasting budget requirements to prevent service disruptions for critical operational tools.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud operations, or enterprise infrastructure management.
- Deep expertise in Windows Server environments, OS lifecycle management, patching tools, and core services (SFTP, SMTP).
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware (ESXi, vCenter upgrades) and mid-level AWS cloud engineering (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, etc.).
- Proven track record handling rigorous security audits, specifically PCI compliance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead multi-team collaborations and handle high-stakes technical escalations calmly and effectively.
