Role overview
The Staff Engineer at Civica is a senior technical leader responsible for shaping and driving the organization’s Modern Workplace strategy across Microsoft’s ecosystem. The role involves leading architecture, governance, and enterprise‑scale transformation programmes, influencing senior stakeholders in a global, matrixed environment, and delivering secure, scalable, business‑aligned solutions that empower over 5,000 public bodies worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Shape and drive the organization’s workplace technology strategy across Microsoft’s ecosystem
- Lead architecture, solution design, technical governance and large‑scale transformation initiatives in a global enterprise environment
- Provide strategic and hands‑on technical leadership across Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365, Intune, End User Computing (EUC), Copilot, Power Platform, automation and emerging AI‑enabled workplace technologies
- Define architectural standards, influence technology roadmaps and ensure solutions are secure, scalable and aligned to business objectives
- Operate within a matrix environment, leading through influence rather than hierarchy, collaborating with cross‑functional teams globally to drive outcomes and deliver impactful workplace technology solutions at scale
- Influence senior leaders and shape strategic decisions at the highest levels of the organization
