Role overview

PMI is seeking a Marketing Data Analyst III to serve as a key individual contributor supporting paid media performance, measurement, and reporting. This role turns complex marketing data into actionable insights that help guide how PMI invests in paid acquisition, evaluates marketing efficiency, and improves conversion performance. With a strong foundation in campaign analytics and attribution, the Marketing Data Analyst III will analyze paid media performance within the broader customer journey, connecting paid activity to conversions and sales across channels to provide a complete view of marketing impact. The role contributes to cross-channel reporting, forecasting, modeling, and broader marketing analytics initiatives in partnership with the wider Analytics team. It is a hands-on analytical role for someone comfortable working with SQL, Snowflake, and reporting and visualization tools, while leveraging AI-assisted analytics to accelerate analysis, expand coverage, and uncover insights that drive smarter marketing decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver recurring and ad hoc paid media performance reporting at global and regional levels, ensuring stakeholders have accurate, timely, and actionable insight into media performance.
  • Apply and maintain consistent paid media metrics, including CAC, ROAS, CPA, CPM, CTR, and conversion rate, across channels and regions.
  • Analyze campaign, audience, creative, channel, and geography level performance across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and programmatic, and recommend budget and optimization changes.
  • Support and analyze incrementality tests, holdouts, and structured experiments, reporting results with statistical confidence stated.
  • Reconcile agency and platform reported performance against PMI first-party and warehouse data, and identify and explain variance.
  • Maintain UTM governance and conversion tracking validation for paid campaigns to ensure accurate attribution and reliable performance data.
  • Contribute to attribution analysis across paid and non-paid channels, applying PMI's attribution standards and helping assess how channels contribute to conversion and sales.
  • Support cross-channel and funnel reporting, connecting paid media results to downstream conversion, customer, and product performance.
  • Support forecasting, propensity, and media mix modeling efforts through data preparation, analysis, and interpretation of results.
  • Partner with global and regional marketing stakeholders, Data Engineering, and agency teams to translate analysis into practical recommendations.
  • Use SQL and Snowflake for data pulling, transformation, and analysis, working from datasets delivered by Data Engineering.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate analysis, quality assurance, and reporting, and validate AI-generated output against source data before it is shared.
  • Follow data governance and stewardship practices, promoting accuracy, consistency, and ethical use of data, and contribute paid media metric definitions to PMI's marketing semantic layer.
  • Deliver recurring paid media performance reports (weekly and monthly) for regional and global stakeholders, with clear recommendations on budget allocation and optimization.
  • Build automated paid media dashboards and recurring reporting in Adobe Analytics and PMI standard reporting tools, enabling proactive performance monitoring.
  • Produce incrementality and experiment results that inform media investment decisions.
  • Reconcile agency and platform reported performance against PMI data, with variance identified and explained.
  • Ensure accurate campaign tracking and attribution data across paid campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, analytics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or performance reporting, with significant time spent on paid media or digital marketing performance.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing data from Google Ads and Meta Ads required.
  • Experience analyzing marketing tests or experiments and interpreting results.
  • Experience with attribution models and tools like Rockerbox, Northbeam.
  • Strong SQL and working proficiency with Snowflake for data querying, transformation, and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of paid media platforms and their reporting, including Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Solid understanding of campaign analytics, attribution methods, conversion tracking, and UTM governance.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts applied to marketing, including significance testing, cohort analysis, and lifetime value.
  • Comfortable using AI tools in analytical work, including validating output before it informs a business decision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify insight and translate it into recommendations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global and regional teams, and to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English (the business language for PMI).
