Must have skills : Oracle Database Administration (DBA) Good to have skills : NA Minimum 3 Year(s) Of Experience Is Required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage and support mission-critical Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Oracle database architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, performance optimization, database upgrades, and automation. The role requires hands-on experience in administering large-scale production environments while ensuring database security, availability, and optimal performance. Roles & Responsibilities: Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database environments across Development, Test, UAT, and Production. Design and implement highly available Oracle database solutions using Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard. Perform database upgrades and migrations using DBUA, AutoUpgrade, and manual methods. Plan and execute database migrations across servers, storage, operating systems, and cloud platforms. Perform database cloning using RMAN, duplicate databases, and storage snapshot technologies. Configure and manage Oracle ASM and Clusterware environments. Administer Oracle RAC, troubleshoot cluster issues, and perform RAC maintenance. Configure, administer, and monitor Oracle Data Guard, including switchover and failover activities. Develop and test Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and conduct DR drills. Manage RMAN backup strategies and perform complete, incomplete, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), and block media recovery. Diagnose and resolve database corruption, performance bottlenecks, and critical production issues. Perform database health checks and capacity planning. Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries, execution plans, wait events, and system resources. Tune Oracle databases using AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Tuning Advisor, and Execution Plan analysis. Apply Oracle Release Updates (RU), Patch Set Updates (PSU), one-off patches, and perform Grid Infrastructure patching. Perform Oracle Database and Grid Infrastructure upgrades with minimal downtime. Implement database security, auditing, encryption (TDE), and user privilege management. Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell scripting, Python, or Ansible. Support Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB) administration. Collaborate with application teams during deployments, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks. Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical leadership for database initiatives. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Experience with automation and DevOps practices. Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead production incidents and mentor junior team members.
