Role overview
Data QA Associate at YipitData will manage a large portion of the data cleaning and quality assurance processes for the rapidly growing E‑commerce insights product, transforming receipt data into accurate business expense insights and collaborating with U.S. and China teams in a fully remote, India‑based role.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and efficient data extraction, labeling, and cleaning from English emails to ensure high‑quality data.
- Monitor and analyze data trends for various merchants and vendors, including categorizing the email and identifying the trends.
- Maintain the stability of merchant and vendor data, investigating anomalies such as sudden drops or spikes in data volume.
- Collaborate with teams in both China and the U.S. to ensure data consistency and quality.
- Provide timely responses to analysts and clients' demands and inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with company data security and confidentiality policies.
- Transform receipt data into accurate business expense insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above. Majors in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst.
- Experience in data tagging, cleaning or regular expressions.
- Experience in managing multiple processes in parallel.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem‑solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with a remote team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams across time zones and cultures.
Nice to have
- Basic data analysis skills and familiarity with Excel, SQL, or Python.
- Familiarity with accounting standards and the ability to distinguish the company’s accounting categories.
- Experience using mainstream ERP systems such as NetSuite, Ramp, or QuickBooks Online (QBO).
