Imnoo is seeking a unique hybrid—a CAD AI IoT Engineer / Tinkerer—who thrives at the intersection of software architecture and physical hardware. The role involves connecting battle‑tested AI algorithms directly to the pulse of the factory floor, reverse‑engineering industrial protocols, building edge data pipelines, and parsing complex 3D geometry to automate the business of manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- You won’t just be writing code behind a desk; you will be the mastermind connecting our battle‑tested algorithms directly to the pulse of the factory floor.
- Work with a dynamic mix of physical machines, Raspberry Pis/Industrial PCs, and modern cloud architectures.
- Your work directly feeds the data pipelines that power our AI quoting and calculation engines, making a tangible impact on how factories operate.
- Tackle unsolved problems in a fragmented industry with the freedom to prototype, test, and deploy creative solutions.
- Play a critical role in a leading SaaS company that is actively transforming the contract manufacturing and CNC industry.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with CAD/CAM environments and deep knowledge of CAD/CAM API integration to programmatically extract feature data and metadata.
- Hands‑on IoT experience, specifically focused on extracting telemetry and operational data from the shop floor.
- Experience connecting with and pulling data from diverse CNC controllers (e.g., Heidenhain, Fanuc, Siemens) using industrial protocols (OPC UA, MTConnect, FOCAS, etc.).
- Strong coding experience in Python, C++, C#, or similar languages to build scalable integrations, edge agents, and rapid prototypes.
- Solid experience using Docker to containerize applications and reliably deploy them to industrial edge devices or gateways.
- Experience connecting custom software with 3rd‑party services for manufacturing, such as ERP systems, cutting tool databases, or external APIs.
