Role overview
Hitachi Vantara is a global data‑foundation company enabling innovators—from banks to theme parks—to automate, optimize, and innovate with high‑performance data infrastructure. The Oracle ERP R12 Finance Support Analyst (Techno‑Functional) will provide application support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements across multiple Oracle Financials modules in a complex global environment, working closely with Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Shared Services, Internal Audit, and IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead functional and technical support for Oracle EBS R12 Finance modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Revenue Recognition, SLA, and Cost Management.
- Provide day-to-day production support, troubleshooting, incident management, and problem resolution for Finance applications.
- Gather business requirements, analyze current processes, design solutions, configure Oracle setups, and oversee testing and deployment activities.
- Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, including reconciliations, financial data validation, and issue resolution.
- Work closely with Finance users to support accounting operations, revenue recognition processes, costing transactions, and financial reporting requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolution of production issues involving transactions, accounting entries, interfaces, and reconciliations.
- Analyze and troubleshoot Oracle Financials data using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Develop and maintain functional specifications, process documentation, configuration documents, and support procedures.
- Partner with technical teams to support integrations, reports, extensions, APIs, workflows, conversions, and customizations.
- Support Oracle Reports, BI Publisher reports, FSG reports, and financial reporting solutions.
- Monitor and support interfaces between Oracle ERP and banking systems, procurement applications, tax systems, inventory systems, and other external applications.
- Validate accounting transactions, subledger accounting entries, and General Ledger postings to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Support system configuration, testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities for enhancements and projects.
- Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, cutover planning, and post‑production validation activities.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Cost Accounting teams to support inventory valuation, cost accounting, intercompany transactions, and related financial processes.
- Support audit activities, SOX controls, approval workflows, segregation of duties, and internal control requirements.
- Review and maintain security access, finance controls, and compliance documentation.
- Work with development teams to review technical designs, interfaces, reports, and custom solutions.
- Participate in Oracle ERP upgrades, patching activities, enhancement projects, and future cloud transformation initiatives.
- Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization across Finance business processes.
- Provide knowledge transfer, user training, and support documentation for business and IT teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience supporting Oracle EBS R12 Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Revenue Recognition, and Cost Management.
- Strong understanding of Record‑to‑Report (R2R), Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P), Order‑to‑Cash (O2C), Revenue Recognition, Cost Accounting, and Financial Close processes.
- Proven techno‑functional experience supporting Oracle Financials in a production support environment.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills for troubleshooting, data analysis, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
- Experience supporting Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, XML Publisher, Oracle Workflow, and custom applications.
- Experience with Oracle Financials integrations, APIs, Open Interfaces, and data conversions.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Financials data model, accounting structures, and Subledger Accounting (SLA).
- Knowledge of accounting principles, revenue recognition requirements, cost accounting methodologies, and financial reporting processes.
- Experience supporting month‑end and year‑end close activities in a global environment.
- Experience working in SOX‑controlled and audit‑compliant organizations.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical and functional issues across integrated applications.
- Experience leading ERP enhancements, upgrades, deployments, and support initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of Agile, ITIL, AIM/OUM methodologies, and support best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
