Role overview
HexCoded is an AI video studio: you should be able to make anything you can imagine. We are a very small team building the tools that are reshaping how video, image and audio get made. Check out hexcoded.ai.
Responsibilities
- Make the content (reels, shorts, posts, hooks, thumbnails, captions) using HexCoded and post publicly
- Run our freelance video editors—write briefs, pick references, chase deadlines, return work until it’s right
- Fill and maintain the Discord community—invite members, welcome them, spark conversation on quiet days, and report community needs
- Write all emails: welcome messages, nudges for first ad, re‑engagement notes, launch announcements
- Write ad copy—review current ad performance, craft next batch; you won’t control the budget but you will explain why a winner succeeded
- Watch performance metrics such as views, saves, Discord joins, replies, signups to iteratively improve content
Requirements
- An account you’ve actually run (yours, a friend’s, a college club’s, or a page you love) with links and real numbers, including flopped posts
- Ability to explain thumbnail preference in a sentence and justify why one wins over another
- Experience building practical AI workflows (e.g., renaming 200 clips at once, aggregating weekly numbers, drafting multiple caption versions, or creating time‑saving tools) and the ability to showcase what you’ve built
- Short, clear writing skills for concise copy that a stranger reads only once
- Strong knowledge of current social media trends—knowing what happened on Instagram this week, and being able to name a format that died and explain why
