We are looking for an experienced L2 Database Administrator with expertise in MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis to manage production and DR database environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, security, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis databases.
- Perform database backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries.
- Manage Redis clusters and MongoDB shard health.
- Create new database instances and manage user access.
- Perform database patching, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
- Execute housekeeping, archival, and data purge activities.
- Troubleshoot database issues and support production incidents.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request Management processes.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis Database Administration.
- Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, replication, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Redis Clustering and MongoDB Sharding.
- Good knowledge of Linux administration.
- Basic scripting skills (Shell/Python) for automation.
- Understanding of database security, patching, and high availability.
