Responsibilities
- Processing payroll checks with 100% accuracy and pay on time.
- Working pay run audit reports and ensuring error/issues are fixed before paychecks are printed.
- Analyzing pay run reports and taking proactive steps to identify any issues causing a trend and reporting to partners.
- Work & monitor all payroll mailboxes & ensure 24‑hour SLA is met for all requests/forms.
- Ensure awareness of all policies and compliance relating to US payroll and apply during the execution of daily work.
- Partner with the onshore team to drive volumes during peak and critical times.
- Support the team on ad‑hoc projects for year‑end pay and manage the year‑end calendar change.
- Implement internal audit controls to meet 100% accuracy, draw quality trends, identify opportunity areas and rectify issues.
- Communicate daily with the team on work allocation and workload management to meet business timelines and keep partners updated on status.
- Leverage subject‑matter knowledge to process critical activities during BCP situations to ensure timely TM pay for US and India payroll teams.
- Equip existing team members and train contractors during peak season on high‑volume processes and ensure their quality is audited.
- Take ownership of reducing over‑payments by reconciling unmatched voucher accounts and partnering with the GL team to maintain accurate TM records.
- Identify areas to streamline the process, initiating projects to save time and increase accuracy.
- Build subject knowledge among team members, encourage ideas, and help contribute to process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Business/Human Resources.
- FPC/CPP/Payroll Certification is a must.
- End‑to‑end knowledge of US payroll and taxation.
- 5+ years of payroll experience with excellent knowledge of all Federal and State laws.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail, accurate and professional communicator.
- Demonstrated integrity with respect to confidentiality of employer and employee interests.
- Commitment to the principles of coaching.
- Display problem‑solving ability based on the situation.
- Ability to analyze information to drive business decisions.
- Flexibility to work extended hours.
