Role overview
NVIDIA, a leader in artificial intelligence, high‑performance computing, and visualization, is seeking a senior software engineer for the GPU Software team to develop platforms and software for the Media & Entertainment and Broadcasting industry. The role leverages expertise in networking, computer hardware, storage, and cloud‑native software to create automation and tooling for streaming media workloads, working in a fast‑paced, globally collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation for deploying Kubernetes clusters for streaming media usecases
- Monitor and manage Kubernetes clusters
- Configure L3 switches for multi‑VLAN routing
- Work in a Continuous Deployment environment with fast development/deployment cycles
- Collaborate with other NVIDIA R&D teams around the globe
Requirements
- BE/Masters in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience
- 8‑10 years hands‑on experience in development & networking
- Deep knowledge of networking protocols
- Proven track record to develop robust tools and automation using programming languages such as Python and/or Go
- Proficiency with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration platforms
- Fast and self‑learner with outstanding technical skills
- Great teammate with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, diverse and remote team
- Strong interpersonal skills and a real passion for working as a team
- Demonstrated autonomy in work and collaboration across different departments
Nice to have
- Experience in CNI plugins, operator framework
- Experience with network protocols
- Experience in switch configuration: Cisco/Arista/Cumulus
- Knowledge in Linux shell scripting
- Knowledge of Ansible and Python
