Role overview
YipitData is seeking a Senior SDET for a fully remote position based in India (standard work hours 8 am to 5 pm IST). Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans covering manual, automated, and performance testing based on an understanding of product requirements and business processes
- Create and maintain efficient automated testing frameworks, writing test scripts and implementing automated testing processes
- Perform automated, performance, and stress testing
- Accurately record and track defects found during testing
- Maintain close communication with cross-functional team members and collaborate to solve problems during testing to promote smooth project progress
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing, with experience working in fast-paced and complex project environments
- 5 years of experience in automated testing and test case design, familiar with test plan development
- Have defined and evolved test strategies and driving quality for big and complex releases
- Proficient in at least one programming language such as C, C++, Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Rich experience in automated testing and familiar with various automated testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, etc.
- Proficient in API testing (such as Postman, REST Assured) and performance testing (such as JMeter, Gatling)
- Understand database operations (such as SQL) and have the ability to operate in a Linux environment
- Familiar with Agile development methods and able to work efficiently in an Agile team
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, able to quickly locate and solve complex problems during software testing
- Good organizational, collaborative, and time-management skills, able to work effectively in a multi-tasking and cross-team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to communicate clearly and effectively with people from different departments and levels
- Ability to work independently, complete tasks with limited guidance, and be proactive in learning and adapting to new work requirements
- Innovative mindset and passion for learning new technologies, able to continuously explore and apply new testing methods and technologies to improve efficiency and quality
Nice to have
- Have designed and developed QA tools and services other than standard API/UI automation frameworks
- Familiar with professional QA methodologies and tools
- Good understanding of QA-related Python
- Know how to use stress testing tools, have experience with API and backend features performance tests
- Possess knowledge of SQL, Docker, Linux basics, and Pytest
