Role overview
Responsibilities
- Responsible for reconciling, reviewing, and resolving Balance Sheet General Ledger (GL) account issues.
- Maintain effective controls and governance over reconciliation processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Execute month‑end close activities to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Timely and accurate reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
- Timely and accurate closure of month‑end activities.
- Analyse account balances and activity for accuracy, proactively identify risks, and implement corrective controls.
- Prepare, analyze, and report metrics for management reporting.
- Create and maintain up‑to‑date documentation for the respective accounts.
- Identify process‑improvement ideas to drive operational efficiencies and improve the control environment.
Requirements
- Fresh Qualified CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA with 1‑2 years of relevant GL accounting experience.
- Detail oriented and able to work independently.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload while meeting strict deadlines and managing pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
Nice to have
- Hands‑on experience with any ERP such as SAP, Workday, etc.
- Working knowledge of automation tools.
