Role overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our data pipeline service team in Bangalore. In this full‑time role you will build and maintain data pipelines that move data from various sources to data warehouses, working across a global Kubernetes compute cluster and ensuring technical excellence through coding, code review, architectural design, and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Ensure technical excellence for the team and owned services by contributing to code, reviewing code, contributing to architectural design, and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Patch software and build new connectors operating on the global Kubernetes compute cluster.
- Work with Cloud APIs, SQL, and NoSQL databases, events, etc.
- Work on the core data pipeline that moves terabytes of data from all customers to their data warehouses.
- Process the data into clean, incremental, automated updates.
- Create and contribute to an environment geared to innovation, high productivity, high quality and customer service.
Requirements
- Strong technical and problem‑solving skills with recent hands‑on software development experience.
- Experience in reliable distributed systems, emphasizing high‑volume data management within enterprise and/or web‑scale products and platforms that operate under strict SLAs.
- Broad technical knowledge encompassing software development and automation.
- Experience with a wide array of algorithms and data structures.
- Expertise in Java, AWS, cloud‑based APIs, databases, software design and programming best practices.
- Proficiency with SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, GCP, and CircleCI.
