The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring database reliability, performance, security, and availability across Microsoft SQL Server platforms. Accountabilities The Database Administrator will be responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing database systems while supporting business-critical applications and technical teams. Install, configure, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server database environments. Monitor database performance, availability, storage capacity, and overall system health. Troubleshoot database incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Perform database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, patching, upgrades, and migration activities. Create and manage database objects, including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Optimize SQL queries and improve database performance in collaboration with development teams. Implement and maintain database security measures, user roles, permissions, and access controls. Support high availability solutions such as SQL Server Always On, Log Shipping, and Replication. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards. Maintain accurate database documentation and operational procedures. Requirements The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Microsoft SQL Server environments, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a solid understanding of database administration best practices. 2.5+ years of practical experience working with Microsoft SQL Server administration. Strong knowledge of SQL queries, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and database functions. Experience with database backup, recovery, and restoration processes. Understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), indexing strategies, query execution plans, and monitoring tools. Basic knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts. Experience working with Windows Server environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
