Role overview
Join Hitachi Energy’s India Development Centre (IDC), an R&D organization in Chennai and Bangalore that works with global R&D and research centers across multiple countries. In this role, you will act as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring successful delivery of digital solutions and product capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Work as a Business Analyst across multiple products, handling requirement gathering and analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Actively participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring clarity and completeness of requirements.
- Support Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Perform data analysis and generate insights using reporting tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics to support decision-making.
- Work with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and DevOps for smooth delivery.
- Use Azure DevOps for backlog management, user stories, tracking, and documentation.
- Facilitate effective communication across teams and ensure alignment among stakeholders.
- Continuously explore and learn domain knowledge related to power systems / power grids.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 6–8 years of experience working as a Business Analyst across multiple products or platforms.
- Minimum 2 years of dedicated experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and experience working in Agile environments.
- Hands‑on experience in data reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or similar.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for requirement and backlog management.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Good analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience as a Scrum Master is an added advantage.
- Interest in or experience with power domain / power grids is preferred.
