The Hope Center Ministries (HCM) School for Ministry is a structured leadership development and practicum program designed to equip and prepare individuals for future ministry and operational roles within Hope Center Ministries. The program aims to develop leaders who are spiritually grounded, operationally competent, and mission-aligned through a combination of structured curriculum and hands-on practicum experience across various ministry departments.
Responsibilities
- Engage in Curriculum (Leadership & Spiritual Formation) focusing on spiritual growth, biblical leadership, ministry philosophy, and organizational excellence
- Complete coursework including: Biblical foundations and discipleship; Leadership principles and servant leadership; Organizational culture and spiritual authority; Integrity, stewardship, and accountability; Communication and conflict resolution; Time management and goal execution
- Participate in online coursework, leadership lessons, assessments, and mentorship from HCM leaders across the network
- Engage in Practicum (On-the-Job Ministry & Operations Training) by shadowing, assisting, and gradually taking ownership under supervision within a selected ministry department
- Grow in Spiritual Maturity: Personal discipleship and accountability; Active church involvement; Participation in recovery meetings and community engagement; Modeling Christ-centered leadership
- Grow in Relational Leadership: Building healthy internal team relationships; Professional communication; Conflict resolution rooted in biblical principles; Collaboration across departments
- Grow in Operational Excellence: Understanding HCM systems (Dazos, communication platforms, reporting structures, etc.); Learning ministry policies and procedures; Executing projects with integrity and follow-through; Time management and goal setting
- Grow in Culture & Stewardship: Maintaining a Christ-centered campus culture; Protecting mission alignment; Stewarding resources responsibly; Demonstrating excellence in both spiritual and administrative responsibilities
- Perform department-specific training based on track: Admissions (Intake process and resident qualification, Communication with families and referral sources, Legal coordination and documentation compliance)
- Perform department-specific training based on track: Human Resources (Hiring pipeline support, Interview processes, Onboarding systems and personnel documentation)
- Perform department-specific training based on track: Finance (Budgeting principles, Accounts payable and receivable, Financial stewardship and reporting)
- Perform department-specific training based on track: Development (Donor engagement, Community partnerships, Fundraising strategy support)
- Perform department-specific training based on track: Communications & Creative Marketing (Brand consistency, Digital content creation, Event promotion, Messaging strategy)
- Perform department-specific training based on track: IT & Digital Innovation (Systems implementation, Workflow optimization, Technology stewardship, Data management best practices)
- Perform department-specific training based on track: Campus & Recovery Leadership (Discipleship structure, Volunteer coordination, Family engagement processes, Campus operations oversight)
- Demonstrate flexibility and teachability
- Maintain integrity and professionalism

- Complete additional tasks and cross-department exposure as assigned

- School for Ministry is not employment. It is a voluntary training program intended to prepare individuals for potential future opportunities within HCM.

- Those who desire to apply for positions following completion will enter the standard hiring process.
- Participants may engage in one or both components (Curriculum and Practicum) depending on calling, readiness, and ministry pathway.
- Available practicum tracks include: Campus & Recovery Leadership (Director, Recovery Pastor), Operations & Administration (Admissions, Human Resources, Finance), Growth & Engagement (Development / Fundraising, Communications, Creative Marketing, IT & Digital Innovation).
