Role overview
Fam, India’s first payments app for users 11 and older, is seeking an IT Manager to own and scale its network, endpoint, and overall IT operations infrastructure. The manager will drive reliability, security, compliance, and operational excellence, building audit‑ready systems, automating manual tasks, and delivering a seamless IT experience at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end network infrastructure: firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless
- Ensure high uptime via redundancy planning, VPN management, and ISP SLAs
- Monitor performance, logs, and alerts; proactively resolve issues
- Drive secure network architecture (segmentation, access control, Zero Trust principles)
- Manage enterprise firewall configurations (policy, NAT, VPNs)
- Own ISO 27001 readiness: controls, audits, SOPs, and access reviews
- Lead IAM lifecycle: provisioning, de-provisioning, RBAC
- Oversee endpoint security: EDR, DLP, monitoring tools
- Respond to incidents, conduct log reviews, and strengthen security posture
- Manage Mac, Windows, and Linux environments at scale
- Own MDM systems (enforcement, compliance, lifecycle—not just enrollment)
- Drive patch management, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
- Administer Google Workspace (users, groups, policies, security settings)
- Manage IT asset lifecycle: procurement → provisioning → off‑boarding
- Own ITSM systems (SLA creation, not just execution)
- Build and improve SOPs, runbooks, and documentation
- Reduce manual work via scripting and automation
- Ensure audit‑ready documentation and system visibility
- Lead and grow a team of IT professionals (5+ members)
- Partner with vendors for procurement, renewals, and support
- Collaborate cross‑functionally on security, compliance, and IT needs
Requirements
- 8–12 years in IT infrastructure & operations, with 3+ years in leadership
- Firewalls (policy management, NAT, VPN)
- Layer 3 networking (routing, VLANs, ACLs)
- Network fundamentals (routing, NAT, VPNs, troubleshooting)
- Experience with MDM / endpoint management systems
- Strong understanding of network + security fundamentals
- Patch management, backups, monitoring tools
- Google Workspace administration
- EDR, DLP, and security monitoring platforms
- Proficiency in shell scripting / automation
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
Nice to have
- Certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or equivalent
- Experience with Zero Trust / SASE architectures
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Hands‑on with tools like JumpCloud or similar IAM/MDM platforms
- Experience in fintech/BFSI or regulated environments
- Built IT systems for scale + compliance (not just support)
