Role overview
As an Automation Quality Assurance Specialist at WhiteTech, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our cutting‑edge payment solutions. Your efforts in identifying, reporting, and tracking bugs, along with active involvement in the entire software development lifecycle, will directly contribute to the reliability and performance of our products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough manual testing to identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement across various platforms and devices.
- Create CI/CD pipelines.
- Promote the use of the Shift Left testing approach.
- Utilize Playwright for API, e2e and UI testing, contributing to seamless testing processes that align with our technological stack.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop test plans of autotest coverage, including defining objectives, strategies, test cases, and success criteria.
- Identify, log, and track bugs and issues, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Assess system performance and make recommendations for enhancements, ensuring optimal user experience.
- Work in close partnership with developers, PM, Head of QA and other stakeholders to align testing with business requirements and project goals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry practices and tools, continuously enhancing our testing methodologies to maintain the highest standards of quality.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of testing procedures, results, and any relevant observations, contributing to transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing.
- 3+ years hands‑on experience automation UI and API with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Good understanding of manual testing principles, testing levels, and basic test design techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to diagnose issues and create effective solutions.
- Ability to meticulously review code, specifications, and documentation to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
- Experience with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket; ability to trigger jobs, monitor builds, and read logs (pipelines themselves are built and maintained by DevOps).
Nice to have
- Performance testing experience with Jmeter or Locust is a plus
