We are looking for a mid-to-senior level QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience, solid SQL skills, and the ability to understand complex business applications. This person will work closely with developers, business stakeholders, and client services to ensure high-quality software releases. The role supports financial advisors, third‑party administrators (TPAs), employers, and recordkeepers on a platform focused on 401(k) and other qualified retirement plans.
Responsibilities
- Test new software enhancements and production bug fixes
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases and test scripts
- Validate application functionality and data using SQL
- Work with developers to identify, document, and resolve defects
- Participate in release planning activities
- Assist Client Services in reproducing customer-reported issues
- Perform regression testing before releases
- Document testing results and recommend quality improvements
- Monitor production issues after releases and help prevent recurring defects
Requirements
- 5+ years of QA / Software Testing experience
- 3+ years of hands‑on software testing
- Strong SQL skills for creating test data and validating results
- Experience writing detailed test cases and test plans
- Functional, regression, integration, and system testing experience
- Experience with White Box and/or Grey Box testing
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree
