Responsibilities
- Developing, debugging, and optimising T‑SQL stored procedures to support ETL/ELT processes and automation workflows.
- Managing SQL Server instances across environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and capacity planning.
- Designing and maintaining backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies while ensuring high availability of systems.
- Monitoring and tuning database performance, including query optimisation, indexing, and resource management.
- Supporting cloud integrations and managing database environments within AWS and Azure platforms.
- Collaborating with development teams to review and optimise database solutions, ensuring efficient and secure deployments.
Requirements
- Strong experience managing SQL Server environments, including installation, configuration, security, and performance tuning.
- Hands‑on expertise in T‑SQL and developing stored procedures for data processing and automation.
- Experience working with cloud‑based database systems in AWS or Azure environments.
- Proficiency in scripting, such as PowerShell, to support automation and administration tasks.
