Role overview
This role is part of Amazon Logistics’ (AMZL) Last Mile delivery operations, a core component of Amazon’s global fulfillment network. Amazon’s global fulfillment network enables merchants in any geography to ship items ordered on Amazon to any location worldwide. AMZL delivery stations (DS) receive packages from Fulfillment Centers (FCs) and Sort Centers (SCs), sort them to route level, and provide route-assigned packages to drivers for final delivery to Amazon customers. This entire end-to-end final delivery operation is formally called the 'Last Mile'.
Responsibilities
- Receive packages from Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs) and Sort Centers (SCs) at AMZL delivery stations (DS)
- Sort received packages to route level to prepare for driver dispatch
- Support driver pickup of route-assigned packages for delivery to Amazon customers
